The Ontario Nature Conservation Awards recognize excellence by honouring individuals, groups, government agencies and corporations who have worked to protect nature in Ontario.
Community involvement defines Ontario Nature’s character and approach. With its member groups and individual members, Ontario Nature has made a significant impact on conservation issues in communities across Ontario and continues to build a natural legacy for future generations.
Dale received the Ontario Nature Achievement Award for spearheading the Farabout Peninsula Coalition in its work to protect a significant natural area from industrial development.
Don received the W.E. Saunders Natural History Award for promoting the study, conservation and public awareness of the monarch butterfly.
Kate received the Carl Nunn Media and Conservation Award for many years of writing about conservation issues in a variety of media.
Sue received the J.R. Dymond Public Service Award for her leadership with the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre and lifelong passion providing veterinary care for wildlife.
Jakob received the Margaret and Carl Nunn Camp Scholarship to attend Nature Camp at Camp Kawartha for his interest in natural history and potential to take a future leadership role.
Carolinian Canada Coalition received the Ontario Nature Corporate Award for its efforts to preserve, protect, and restore flora and fauna in Ontario’s Carolinian Life Zone.

Barb received the Richards Education Award for her outstanding contribution to outdoor education.
Margaret and Sandy received the Steve Hounsell Greenway Award as founders of the Simcoe County Greenbelt Coalition and their dedicated efforts to protect and expand the Greenbelt in Simcoe County.
Bill received the W.W.H. Gunn Conservation Award for his major contributions to the restoration of the eastern bluebird population in Ontario.
