February 24, 2026 – Barbara was Ontario Nature’s much-loved Nature Network Coordinator from 2006 until she retired in 2024 to spend more time with her family, church and grandchildren. Ontario Nature staff fondly remember Barbara’s warmth and boundless positivity. She invested deeply in the Nature Network. Not just the groups or the concept, she focused on the people. Barbara put relationships first and built community one friend at a time. Her influence on the Nature Network continues today.

Through her work, Barbara inspired and empowered people to do more for nature. A farmer’s daughter, she spread caring for the land and the species on it. We mourn the loss of Barbara and celebrate her conservation legacy at Ontario Nature and well beyond.
