World Migratory Bird Day in High Park

May 11 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

World Migratory Bird Day & Global Big Day in High Park Details

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and Global Big Day with our beginner-friendly birding hike through High Park. We will start with a tutorial on how to use binoculars (we have binoculars you can borrow). Then we will hit the trails to count the birds in High Park. Throughout the walk, we will discuss some of the challenges faced by birds in High Park and Toronto. We will also cover the theme of this year’s Migratory Bird Day — the importance of insects to migratory birds.

Note: This birding hike is meant for adults and older kids (ages 12 and above). For a family- and kid-friendly walk, please check out The Birds are Back Family Birding Event on the same day. This is one of the many events happening in the city as part of Toronto Bird Celebration between May 11 and May 25.

Price: Pay what you can ($5, $10 or $15)
