Shedding Snake Misconceptions at High Park

July 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Gartersnake in grass
Happy #SnakeSummer! I’m excited to the open the invitation to Shedding Snake Misconceptions at High Park! Join Ontario Nature staff and an Indigenous knowledge holder to learn more about the history of stewardship at High Park, deconstructing misconceptions about snakes, the endangered Black Oak Savannah ecosystem, and reptile conservation work at the park.
High Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife species, including snakes! Though often thought of as scary, snakes are a vital part of Ontario’s ecosystems. This is a FREE, beginner-friendly event. Everyone is welcome!
