Shedding Snake Misconceptions at High Park

https://www.tickettailor.com/events/ontarionature/1783224
High Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife species, including snakes! Though often thought of as scary, snakes are a vital part of Ontario’s ecosystems. Join Ontario Nature staff and an Indigenous knowledge holder to learn more about the history of stewardship at High Park, deconstructing misconceptions about snakes, the endangered Black Oak Savannah ecosystem, and reptile conservation work at the park.
This is a FREE, beginner-friendly event. Everyone is welcome!
This event is generously funded by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and Sisters of St. Joseph Canada.
High Park trails are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs with some small inclines. Please indicate any needs in registration so we can ensure our program is as accessible as possible.
To submit your public events for consideration, email Noah Cole at noahc@ontarionature.org. Please send well in advance and allow up to two weeks for posting. Events must be submitted by a member group or run jointly with Ontario Nature.
