2024 Young Ornithologist Workshop

Long Point Bird Observatory is looking for keen young birders to apply for the 2024 Doug Tarry Young Ornithologist Workshop. Two workshops will be held this year, August 4-11 and August 18-24. Participants will receive hands-on training in field ornithology centered in Long Point, Ontario including bird banding, censusing, field identification, birding trips, preparing museum specimens, guest lectures, and more! Twelve of Canada’s most promising ornithologists between the ages of 13-17 will be selected to attend. Applications are due April 30, 2024.
