Vote to Protect and Restore Nature
Nature is foundational to the Canadian identity. With a federal election called for April 28, 2025, it is imperative that all political parties commit to protecting and restoring nature. The next federal government must adequately fund conservation to meet Canada’s international commitment to protect 30% of its lands and waters by 2030.
Science has long documented the human health benefits of healthy ecosystems. Our economy and well-being depend on a federal government that is committed to ensuring a liveable planet for our children and future generations.
About
Together, we can halt and reverse biodiversity loss, restore protection for species at risk and protect our natural heritage. The only way this will happen is if candidates and political leaders hear loudly and clearly that environmental protection is important to you.
Whom we vote for matters now more than ever. Not just for our country, but for the health of the planet. We will need to elect leaders who are prepared to chart a course to a better future at a time when we’re experiencing biodiversity declines, weakening environmental protections and climate change.
Together, we can be the voice for wild species and wild spaces.

Your Vote Matters
As citizens, exercising our democratic right to choose who represents our interests is one of the most important things we can do. Electoral accountability makes the government address our concerns and act in Canada’s long-term best interest.
We must vote for the programs, laws, and policies that protect our collective well-being and quality of life. It is time to put our long-term interests ahead of unsustainable, short-term profiteering.
Clean water and air, abundant greenspace, thriving wildlife, resilience to climate change impacts – that’s what the people want. And we all have a responsibility to ensure that our elected officials know this through a collective voice that is strong and constructive.
Please share this webpage with your friends and family about the importance of voting for nature in the election. Their vote matters too!
