Nature is for Everyone – Guided Accessible Hike at H.N. Crossley Nature Reserve
–
2026.05.22
Join Ontario Nature staff on June 27, 2026, from 10:00AM to 11:30AM for an inclusive and accessible hike at the H.N. Crossley Nature Reserve for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about biodiversity and ecology in your own backyard, while exploring the accessible trail at H.N. Crossley and ensuring its preservation for years to come! This event is being held in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Muskoka-Parry Sound, who will lead discussion during the event about the benefits of nature for mental health.
Conservation Science Coordinator Teagan Netten will lead the hike along a 130-metre wheelchair accessible crushed gravel trail that includes an accessible boardwalk, viewing platform, and interpretive signage. We will begin with a welcome circle to foster mutual respect and understanding of all participants and then move along the trail at a suitable pace for all, allowing frequent stops for rest, questions, and observations of local biodiversity.
