Join us for the Annual Gathering of the Friends of the Salmon River!

Monday, November 2
The Legion, 714 Addington St., Tamworth
6:30 pm

6:30 pm: Meet & Greet and membership renewal
7:00 pm: Presentations begin
8:15 pm: Discussion of our new Planting Campaign

It’s a double header!

Lindsay Nash, Outreach & Stewardship Coordinator at Quinte Conservation, will speak about improving the biodiversity of the Salmon River watershed and the benefits of planting along our shoreline, illustrated with photos. Lindsay has years of experience in tree planting and care, shoreline health, and community outreach, and can help landowners with planting plans, choosing species, and sourcing seedlings.

Then the Friends of the Salmon River will present our new campaign to invigorate the shores of the Salmon River with native tree plantings. We can help with shoreline visits, finding funding for seedlings, and coordinating projects. We welcome your ideas and participation in the discussion.

Everyone is welcome. We are also accepting nominations for new board members.
