League for Green Leaders – Natural Heritage Systems

Join Sustainable Cobourg Saturday April 27 from 9AM to Noon at Venture 13. Discover how our natural heritage systems work. Learn why biodiversity is important for our health and wellbeing. Learn indoors and apply your citizen science digital skills outdoors. Protect our local wetlands, forests, rivers and creeks. Work with nature to:
- reduce soil erosion;
- remove water pollutants;
- decrease local flooding; and
- lessen the threat of wildfires
Bring your own snack and the right indoor and outdoor footwear. We will provide the water. Weather permitting, we will map trees, test water quality and locate invasive species for removal.
