Habitat Restoration at Almack Easement

Join us this summer at Ontario Nature’s Almack Easement in Claremont for a hands-on community restoration event, where you’ll help remove invasive species and support the recovery of diverse Carolinian woodland and wetland habitats. Learn to identify and manage invasive plants while contributing to the long-term protection of this ecologically rich, locally owned conservation property.
Schedule:
8:15-8:30am – Registration
8:30am-9:00am – Land Acknowledgement and Welcome
9:00am-12:00pm- Invasive Removal
12:00-12:30pm- Lunch break (please bring your own lunch, light snacks and water will be provided by Ontario Nature)
12:30-2:30pm – Native species planting
2:30-3:30pm- Educational tour of property

Please continue to drive up the hill and at the fork, turn right. Wait for Ontario Nature staff to direct you.
Restrooms will be available on site.
