The Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve hosted a family friendly day of adventure and learning! The day kicked off with a short meet & greet with all the attendees at the registration tent, followed by a walk down the trail to monitor the pollination occurring at the pollinator garden! Here we learned what insects were using the flowers, how to submit data to citizen science programs, and how to make our gardens at home more pollinator-friendly! Following the pollination monitoring, the group walked back up the trail for a complimentary lunch as well as crafts & games for the kids. To end the day off, the nature reserve team took everyone on a guided hike to check for salamanders underneath the wooden boards they placed last year to track salamander population.
