Hamilton Naturalists Club is sponsoring a local high school student to attend this fall’s Ontario Nature’s Youth Summit for Biodiversity.
The annual weekend-long event brings together about 100 youth for this unique youth-led summit that allows participants to develop an understanding of environmental issues and gain the inspiration and tools to take action and leadership in their communities and beyond.
This year’s summit is Sept. 22-24 at the YMCA Geneva Park in Orillia. Hamilton Naturalists Club will pay one youth’s full $350 entry fee.
To apply for the sponsorship, send a letter or email to club treasurer Jim Stollard, giving your name, address, high school grade, age, phone number and email, along with a short list (75 words or less) of your interests in nature and the environment. Send letters to the HNC Treasurer; P.O. Box 89052; Hamilton, ON; L8S 4R5 and emails to jjstollard@sympatico.ca.
