Celebrating Ontario’s Youth Voice for Pollinators

Orillia, September 19, 2017 – Ontario Nature will host a presentation and recognition ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of members of its Youth Council, a group of high-school aged leaders from communities across the province. Together, they have taken action to protect and raise awareness of Ontario’s wild pollinators. Ontario Nature will also recognize the generous contribution of the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support of these budding environmentalists.

Speakers include:

  • Members of Ontario Nature’s Youth Council
  • Ontario Nature conservation and education staff

Attendees: 100 high-school age leaders from across Ontario, in conjunction with kick-off to 2017 Youth Summit for Biodiversity and Environmental Leadership

What: Presentations and speeches to celebrate young leaders taking action for pollinators

When: Friday, September 22, 2017 with presentations from 7 – 7:30 p.m.

Where: YMCA Geneva Park: 6604 Rama Road, Orillia, ON L3V 0S7

Why: To recognize the vital role young leaders play in protecting Ontario’s wild pollinators and awareness efforts.
