The Ethics of Wildlife Photography with Mark Peck
November 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The popularity of wildlife photography has exploded in the last 20 years with the arrival of digital photography. But are we loving our plants and animals to death? Please join Mark for a look at how wildlife photography has evolved and what impact photographers may be having on their subjects and, more importantly, what photographers can do to better support conservation initiatives.
Dr. Mark Peck is the Manager of the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and was formerly the Curator of Ornithology there. He was a contributing author and photographer to various books including: The Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Ontario, The Extraordinary Beauty of Birds: Design, Pattern and Details, and The Birds of Nunavut.
