Talking Trees: An Interactive Art Walk

November 20 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A family-friendly event where we will walk, talk, and collectively make an art piece from biodegradable materials on the forest floor. Feel the spirit of the forest through a guided sensory experience that invites you to explore how trees communicate. Using a collaborative weaving made with natural materials as a metaphor, we’ll consider how, much like humans, trees depend on an interwoven web of kinships, alliances, and relationships. We’ll walk over moderate terrain along McVicar Creek beginning at Margaret Street. Parking and meeting spot at Brent Park on Balsam Street. Please dress for the weather.
