Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre’s Virtual Baby Shower Fundraiser 2022

May 6 @ 10:00 am - May 8 @ 4:00 pm

The Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre Virtual Baby Shower fundraising event is happening FridayMay 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. to Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 4 p.m.   Once again it will be sponsored by Ontario Power Generation, who have generously supported this event for 12 years now!

This virtual, family-friendly event is the time of the year the Wildlife Centre will virtually open its doors to the public. Filmed by our Education Coordinator, Jess Pelow, Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre Director, Sue Meech, Medical Director, Leah Birmingham, and Facilities Director Julia Evoy will take visitors through a virtual tour of our state-of-the-art clinic and see baby wildlife being fed and visit some areas at Sandy Pines that have not been seen before. We are hoping to be able to have the event back as a hybrid (both in person and virtual) by next year, where people can come in the centre again, but due to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and COVID 19 it seemed like the best decision was to stay virtual for this year!

This virtual event will feature many of our typical baby shower activities such as a 3-prize raffle, jewellery sale, Sandy Pines merchandise and more. As well, there will be an auction that will run the entirety of the event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SPWCauction .

Our monthly online 50/50 draw, which has seen previous winners take home more than $20,000.00, will be drawn at the close of the event on Sunday, May 8th.  Tickets can be purchased online only at https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/sandypineswildlifecentreapril

2021 saw an intake of more than 6500 patients and here at Sandy Pines we continue working every day to help the wildlife.  More than ever, we need your help! In recent months our donations have been down, and we run on donations and event support alone, there is no government funding for wildlife rehabilitation. Please join us for this virtual event and help us continue to help these animals in need.

A link to this event will be available on our web site at www.sandypineswildlife.org and our Facebook page @sandypineswildlifecentre or you can find it directly at https://www.sandypinesbabyshower.com/.
