Planting Event at Sydenham River Nature Reserve

September 26 @ 10:00 am - September 27 @ 5:00 pm

Join Ontario Nature’s expert biologists to learn about agricultural restoration at the Sydenham River Nature Reserve! Volunteers will assist in native tree and shrub planting.

You can join us for the morning, afternoon, or all day! We are planting 900 plants over two weekends to transform fields into what will one day grow to Carolinian forest habitat.

Please bring a refillable bottle, wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Please try to bring your own gloves, trowels and reusable masks. Ontario Nature will provide hand sanitizer, wipes and masks for those who need them. Please bring your own lunch and Ontario Nature will provide snacks. Portable washroom facilities will be on-site.

Questions? Contact Kayla at kaylas@ontarionature.org or at 1-800-440-2366 ext. 242

Our Sydenham River Nature Reserve is located approximately 60km southwest of London in the Lake Erie Lowlands region. We will meet at the south entrance of Oil Springs Line, 1km east of Nauvoo Road. Please park on the shoulder of Oil Springs Line. The reserve is unmarked from the road but we will have temporary Ontario Nature signage to welcome you.
