Nature Guelph Outdoor Event: Fletcher Creek Ecological Preserve Wildflower Hike
October 4, 2:00 – 3:00 pm, Concession 7 and Gore Road, Puslinch
*Limited to 20 participants
*Pre-registration required
*Physical distancing and properly fitted masks required
The Fletcher Creek Ecological Preserve is a unique natural area containing an abandoned quarry that was rehabilitated to create a fen plant community — the rarest form of wetland in Ontario. We will walk the trails explore the interesting plants in this unusual wetland. The fall asters and goldenrods in particular will be in full bloom!
We will maintain a two-metre distance between participants, but please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth as we will be talking and spending time together. Please also wear sturdy shoes and carry your own water and hand sanitizer.
Meet at the parking lot on Concession 7.

Nature Guelph is an active club connecting people with nature in the Guelph area. We host monthly meetings with exciting guest speakers, regular outdoor events, and field trips in the Guelph area and beyond. We have a special interest group for wildflower-lovers, and youth programs (that are sadly currently on hold due to Covid), including a Young Naturalists program for kids 6-10 and an EcoLeaders program for high school students. This event is free, but donations are always appreciated (suggested donation of $5 for non-members). If you enjoy our events and programs, we hope you will consider buying an annual membership. http://www.natureguelph.ca/membership/
