Guided Birding Walk Series for Youth

July 30 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Are you a young birder looking to gain bird identification skills and learn more about how to participate in community science initiatives such as the third Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas and eBird? This series is for you!

Ontario Nature has partnered with the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority to host a series of guided birding walks through our Birding Backpack Program. We hope this program provides the resources to engage young people with birding and community science. We will provide birding backpacks and equipment (binoculars, field guide).

We are hosting three events to target different youth audiences. For high school students, there may be future opportunities to gain volunteer hours performing breeding bird surveys. Join the guided walk to learn how!

There will be prizes available for participants that provide feedback on the event.

Email kristens@ontarionature.org to register.

Space is limited!

We are grateful to TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for supporting these events.
