Conversations for Conservation: Strengthening Food Systems Together – Food Security and Biodiversity

June 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This presentation explores the essential connection between biodiversity and the sustainability of food banks in the face of growing food insecurity. Amy Slack and Paul Bertrand will guide participants through key food security concepts, illustrating how biodiversity supports resilient, equitable food systems.

Highlighting the innovative programs of the Cambridge Food Bank—including its impactful food rescue initiative—this session will demonstrate how community-driven efforts can reduce food waste, support local ecosystems, and enhance access to nutritious food. The presentation will also provide space for open discussion, inviting attendees to reflect on and contribute ideas for the future of food security in our communities.
