Can you tell a monarch from a viceroy? Butterfly ID workshop

July 29, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Monarch and coneflowers, Stone Road Alvar Nature Reserve

Join Ontario Nature and expert biologist James Kamstra, as we lead you on a hike through Stone Road Alvar Nature Reserve to learn about Ontario’s butterfly species. You will learn how to identify common species found in the area and how to make your own backyard more pollinator-friendly.

Make sure you dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and long pants tucked into socks as we will be walking off trail for a portion of the event. Please bring any butterfly nets and field guides if you have them.

Space is limited so please register online in advance!
