The Gift Of Securities

Did you know that changes announced in the 2006 Federal Budget make it much more attractive to donate gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, futures and other publicly-traded securities to Ontario Nature? All applicable capital gains that would normally be owed are waived. When you make an outright gift of appreciated securities, you will receive a donation tax-receipt for the fair market value of the security.
